Mr. Burns is a graduate of Honour Law from the University of Toronto. He obtained his LL.B. degree from the University of Toronto in 1952 and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1954 when he joined this firm.

    He has since been practising in the areas of real estate, corporate, commercial, wills and estate administration over the past 35 years.

    Mr. Burns also speaks and understands the Spanish language; and received his appointment from the Government of Ontario as Queen's Counsel in 1965. He is also actively involved in Rotary International Affairs.

   Mr. Burns fullfilled the requirement of the University of Toronto and is admitted under the authority of the Governing Council of the University of Toronto to the degree of Juris Doctor as of February 28, 2001
